Please join us on Friday, July 5th for an evening of Muslim-Jewish connection, song, prayer, and potluck! Center DC and Tikkun Leil Shabbat will be gathering jointly for a joint Kabbalat Shabbat (welcoming Sabbath) service, calls to prayer from both traditions, simultaneous Muslim “isha” prayers and Jewish “ma’ariv” services, and a potluck vegetarian dinner.
The service will be row seating, a cappella. Please bring a vegetarian *entree* or *salad* to share; there will be one table for hekhsher-only (i.e. kosher-certified) vegetarian potluck items and a second table for vegetarian potluck items.
Services begin at 6:45 pm; dinner around 8:15 pm in the 15th St. Presbyterian building, 1701 15th St. NW (R & 15th NW). Please enter the building through the back, from the parking lot off of R Street.
